Milk according to Honey is a one of a kind app which lets you add your store card to the app and avail discount available on the card. Did you follow that? It might be difficult to follow it in an Indian context, but city dwellers would be able to wrap their head around this concept. Imagine this – You walk into Big Bazaar with your loyalty card right on your phone. Now the app would categorize your shopping cart under various heads, say child care, beauty and the like, after which you can browse through the available coupon loaded by you beforehand. You can also make a list of the necessary purchases to be made by you once you go into the store. Post the purchasing and availing of discount, you use your loyalty card at the time of checking out without having to procure your receipt or a paper coupon or anything.
Meaning this is a far fetched idea in a country where technology is gradually rising. Secondly, in countries around the world most of the grocery stores are cutting down on loyalty cards and are making do with customer’s phone numbers instead.
