Windows Phone puts pressure on iOS in terms of Enterprisability

Updated on September 1, 2017

Windows Phone is at it again and this time it is big. The contender iOS was defeated by WP8 in Latin America. And the rest of Europe and thereby rest of the world is to follow suit. Now Windows Phone has also won customers in the enterprise field. iOS 7 has failed to entertain the enterprise users. Well that’s a speculation.

Windows Phone OS is young, inexperienced and still growing. The Flat UI and other changes are not sufficient enough to impress the office goers. Rather something like a VPN, Apps that are particular to the company should be produced but none of them are there. There are also a lot of things or features missing from iOS and the developers of iOS 7 were rather interested in pushing the update rather than seeing the missing features. This should hit Apple a little and with the next update at least should see some Enterprise friendly apps.

Microsoft is also trying to satisfy the Enterprise users by adding VPN, a company specific apps, etc. to the WP lineup of devices. This requires the company to have a WP8 device and the developers will release an app to the store which can be downloaded by only the employees of the particular company and no one else. It is such a cool feature. With the increase in the days and months, WP is slowly growing and expanding its knowledge of the things that it needs to learn. Way to go WP. Keep up the good work.
