Updated on September 1, 2017

Here is the web browser from yet another Search Engine. This time it’s Yahoo, who has launched a web browser called “Axis” for an iPhone, iPad and a plugin for your favorite web browser in desktop computers. Yahoo’s Axis aims at providing instant search results with a pleasing visual previews. What does this mean? Visual previews eliminates the traditional web search where the results are displayed as links. Axis replaces those links with a visual preview of the websites. The browser aligns the visual previews as rows for your search query, you can swipe through the results and then tap a picture to visit a specific page.

Axis has an interesting feature of connecting the devices to continue your search. For example, a “Continue from iPhone” button will appear on your tablet and clicking it will allow you to view the search results that you were looking at your iPhone. The browser also unifies the home page between the devices, like the recent website that you visited on your computer browser will also be seen in the home page of an iPhone or iPad.

Axis on a computer acts as a plugin for your favorite web browser rather than a stand alone software. So, if you are a fan of Google chrome or Firefox or Safari or Internet Explorer, still you can try out Axis as a toolbar at the bottom of your browser.
