If you have noticed Firefox trimming the website URL (without the protocol http and the trailing slash at the end) and if you wish to display the website’s full URL, then a small configuration to the web browser can help you. Probably you might argue, why would someone want Firefox to display the full URL? I don’t have an answer, really! To me it is just an option. But many Techglimpse surfers had mailed me asking how to view the full URL and that’s the reason of this post as well. Here, we go,
Step 1: Just point your cursor to the Firefox’s URL bar and type “about:config”
Step 2: Search for : browser.urlbar.trimURLs
Step 3: Now just double click the resulted item and change the value to false.
That’s it! Firefox will show the full URLs of all the opened tabs and for all the pages you visit in the future.
