Day to day, life accumulates more unaccomplished tasks, the to-do list overflows, the shopping list needs additional sheets.. Phew! But this is no good reason to burden your internet browser. Just like everyone else, I bet you surf for a multitude of things in a multitude of tabs. Sometimes, it gets too disorderly to have them all in one browser, don’t you think? You might consider using a second browser, but that’s not very helpful too. The worst part of opening too many tabs is not that you’ll not be able to see the tab-title. But that you can’t even see the favicon of the tabs.
Frustrated at this, the makers of TooManyTabs built the TMT extension for Chrome and plug-in for Firefox. This must-have extension manages your tabs, reduces your tab-overflow and restores your faith in browser sanity.
Have you installed it yet? If you haven’t, do not read on till you have, because then it’s pointless.
Easy Installation and neat design
Now that you’re done with the installation, all you have to do is click the TMT icon in the top-right of your browser bars. See how the tabs with previews are shown all in one screen? Simply keep scrolling to check out your tabs across all windows. And then, voila, your desired tab is selected.
Search and Sort Function
At most times, our eyes seem to overlook things. TMT has acknowledged this human flaw efficiently by providing an instant search option to search a particular tab on the top left corner. If you are this disciplined sorting person, TMT also helps you to sort by title, URL and creation time. The three groups can be accessed again by the three buttons next to the instant search input box.
Multi-functional Tabs
TMT also helps eliminate tab cluttering by sending them to the TMT column which is seen on the right. Simply click the TMT arrow to pop them to the ‘Suspended Tabs’ column, they are saved across sessions. However, you must keep in mind that videos and form states are not saved this way. To restore them, simply click on the suspended tabs in the right side. TMT also provides a column for recently closed tabs. As always, clicking on the particular tab restores it, and resolves your regret of closing it earlier.
Colorful Themes
TMT also knows it cannot force the users into liking the default colour, so it provides another few colours that can be chosen as the theme colour from the bottom-left corner. And that’s how you convert your out of hand browser like a boss.
