I have been using Redirection WordPress plugin for a while in my website. But the same plugin is not working on another website and displays an error “Invalid group when creating redirect”. Can you help me to solve this error? I’m using Redirection plugin version 2.4.5.
Solution:
As the error message says, you need to create a group before redirecting a URL. To do that, click on Tools > Redirection.
In the Redirection plugin page, click on “Groups” tab. Here you can create a group under the heading “Add Group” – where you need to input your website name. For e.g., http://example.com and leave “WordPress” selected in the pull down menu and click “Add” button.
Now, go back to Redirection page (clicking the “Redirects” tab) and add source URL & redirect URL.
That’s it!
