Windows 8 is released? I know, the news is pretty old, but did you find a time to try your hands on this amazing OS. If not, try out now. Windows 8 Developer Preview can be downloaded freely from the Microsoft Windows Dev Center. The distribution is available for both the 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. Remember to pick your right version.
Here is the minimum requirements to run the OS,
- At least GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
- 1GB RAM (32-bit) or 2GB RAM (64-bit)
- 16GB hard disk space (32-bit) or 20GB (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
- A screen that supports multi-touch if you want to use in tablets or any other touch device.
Windows 8 comes in ISO image that you need to burn it on a disc and boot it for the installation to begin. Alternatively you can download the installer (that weighs few mega bytes). and it does the rest (download and installing the OS).
