How to Disable iPhone Vibration When Placed On A Flat Surface?

Updated on September 1, 2017

How many times were you irritated and grabbed your phone forcefully from the coffee table? I guess, it would have happened at least few times every day. Most of us hate to hear the annoying sound that is created by your phone’s vibration motor, especially when it is placed on a flat surface like table. If you are someone, who wished to have a feature that can automatically disable vibration when your iPhone is placed on a flat surface, then here’s a new jailbreak app called MyVibe. This cydia tweak can intelligently disable the phone’s vibration, when the phone is placed on a flat surface. Sound’s cool isn’t?

There have been a number of interesting tweaks being available on the Cydia right now, after the envasi0n jailbreak. So what does this MyVibe do? MyVide lets you disable vibration on your iPhone or iPad. But whats new here is that by simply laying your device on a  flat surface you can avoid the vibrating alert!

MyVibe also turns on Do Not Disturb to silence all notifications when kept face down on a flat surface. This is real useful when you never want to have a disturbing noise when its on a table! Don’t you think it is a useful tweak?!

All these functionality can be achieved heading over to settings in the menu once you have installed the app and enabling the ‘Table Vibrate’ and ‘Upside Down Silencer’.

Evan Coleman, the developer behind MyVibe mentions:

MyVibe disables vibrate when your phone is placed on a flat surface, like a table.

MyVibe can also enable Do Not Disturb when your device is placed upside down on a flat surface.

MyVibe works on any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 6 or later. Note that the table vibrate feature is iPhone only.

No icons added to the home screen. Configure options from settings.

MyVibe is available in the BigBoss repo for $1.99. Go on and give a try!
