Whenever the user creates a new iMessage, the recipient on the other end will see an ellipsis to let them know that you are typing. This kind of feature is seen on most of the messaging software like Skype, biteSMS and Gmail. I would certainly say, it is one of the useful feature. But I am really not sure, why would someone hate this cool feature? If you feel it is a breach of privacy, then here’s a simple jailbreak tweak that disables the ‘new typing’ ellipsis.
TypingPrivacy is a jailbreak tweak that can work with biteSMS and Messages+. The tweak will also work and prevent the ‘now typing’ ellipsis when chatting on the desktop version of Messages. The tweak is available on Cydia’s BigBoss repo for $0.99. Once the tweak is installed, you can enable it by tapping Settings > Messages > Send Typing Notifications (toggle it Off).
Well, here is the Cydia’s link to TypingPrivacy.
