RingerX Lite, a new arrival to Cydia is actually a tweak to set custom notifications for individual contacts or apps. Well, the features of this app doesn’t stop there, it comes with several other things, but obviously has less features than its original version RingerX VIP. RingerX VIP is a paid version that costs $2.99. Once the tweak is installed, the app will notify about the pro version upgradation. RingerX Lite comes with two setting options; one is the ‘Configure’ and other is ‘Default’. To customize the notifications from certain apps, just tap on ‘Configure’ option from ‘Notifications of Applications’. Now add the apps by tapping the ‘+’ button.
Customize notifications for each app
Once the apps are added to RingerX, you can choose to customize the notifications; like silencing the notifications permanently or applying specific alerts. Interestingly, RingerX Lite will let you to choose different tones and vibration alerts for each app. But remember, the Lite version lets you to add only three apps at any time.
Disable all the notifications while attending a call
If you are irritated by the notifications while attending a call, then you can disable those using “No in-call Sounds’ option. This toggle option will disable all the banners, alerts and other sounds while attending the call.
Customize notifications for individual contacts
Once the tweak is enabled, RingerX Lite will add an entry at the bottom of the Stock Contacts app. This feature will let you to block or silence notifications. You can choose to set custom volume and vibrate settings for messages, calls or emails. The app will also let you to apply settings to bulk contacts. And again, the Lite version will only let you to have custom settings for three contacts at any time.
RingerX Lite or RingerX VIP?
As I told earlier, the difference is the limitations in RingerX Lite; custom settings for maximum of three contacts and apps. RingerX Lite will not let you to set custom operations on unsaved numbers, but it is possible with the RingerX VIP version and many more.
