Have a bought a new iPhone and irritated due to the double alert whenever you receive a text message or iMessage or SMS? Repeated notification alerts are enabled by default and I am really not sure why Apple made this as default. But if you don’t like it, then why not disable it. Here’s how you can do that,
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Tap Notifications.
Step 3: Tap Messages and scroll down to reach “Repeat Alert” and tap on it.
Step 4: In the Repeat Alert preference panel, you can customize the frequency. Tap “Never“.
