It was said that nearly half a million people might be affected by the DNS Changer malware on July 9th. What is DNS Changer?
Every computer that connects to the internet will use the DNS servers to translate the domain names to corresponding IP address. The DNS servers takes the website address as the input, finds the IP address and connects you to the website. This is the normal behavior. But DNS changer will redirect your computer to the fake DNS servers and sends you to the malicious sites without your knowledge.
