Recently Apple announced iOS 7 beta for developers and it had stated “Devices updated to iOS 7 beta cannot be downgraded to older versions”. Really? Jeff Benjamin@iDB says “It’s extremely easy to downgrade your firmware from iOS 7 to iOS 6.1.3; no special tricks or techniques required”. With a big thanks to Jeff, here’s how you can downgrade iOS 7 Beta to iOS 6.1.3.
Step 1: Head on to this link and download iOS 6.1.3 firmware.
Step 2: Now connect the device running iOS 7 to your PC or Mac.
Step 3: Launch iTunes, select your connected device and option+click on the Restore button. If you are doing this on Windows, then shift+click on the Restore button.
Step 4: Choose the firmware you downloaded in Step 1.
Step 5: You should see your device restoring successfully.
Jeff@iDB also notes that, you can only downgrade to the latest publicly available firmware for iOS on an A5 device, even if you have SHSH blobs saved. If you own an older devices like iPhone 4, then you have to downgrade to lesser firmware if you have your SHSH blobs saved.
