Now you can type in Hindi using the Google’s Hindi input app for Android devices. The app will allow users to type messages, update their social network status or create new emails in Hindi. But what’s most important is, the app can work only with the phones that supports Hindi reading. For example, if you are reading this post from your Android device, then try reading this word – नमस्ते . If you were able to read it, then you can just go ahead and install Google Hindi input app. The app will support Hindi transliteration as well.
The user can tap “a->अ” on English keyboard to turn on/off transliteration mode. This mode will let user to type Hindi word in English characters and the app will convert them to Hindi.
