It started as few thousands, then lakhs and now millions of active Facebook accounts are created for spreading spams and malware. Such profiles are often created for by spammers or attackers. The shocking news is revealed by Barracuda Labs, who analyze the social networking websites to identify the fake accounts. Barracuda Networks, the security analysis firm, has made a deep study and has published the Infographics that distinguishes the real profiles from the fake profiles.
According to the study,
1. 97% of the fake profiles identify themselves as Females.
2. Fake accounts have more friends than the real profiles.
3. 43% of Fake accounts have never updated their status, which is every high compared to the 15% of real people who never updated their status.
4. 58% of Fake people are interested in both men and women.
