Who likes to watch videos in portrait mode? I guess not many. Here is a new Cydia Tweak called LandscapeVideos that can play videos is landscape mode. Not only that, the tweak can bypass the orientation lock while playing videos, and also force few portrait-only apps to play videos in landscape mode!
The tweak provides lot of customization – a new menu is added to the stock Settings app, once you install the tweak. It provides options to enable/disable the tweak’s basic functionality and configure things like whether the tweak should work only when you want to view a video in landscape when the orientation lock is on, or if landscape mode should be added to even non-supported apps and video players, select the orientation that should be preferred for playing videos.
Although the tweak does not work for every app that plays videos in portrait-only mode, any video player that uses iOS’ native playback options is compatible with LandscapeVideos. LandscapeVideos is available for free in the ModMyi repo of the Cydia store. Why not give a try?!
