The bad thing about restoring your iPhone, is the fear of loosing all the tweaks that you had enabled earlier. But there are few apps in Cydia that can help you to automatically take backup of your tweaks before restoring your device. One such way, is to use Source Saver. Well, to use Source saver – it just takes a press of a button to backup the repos you have added to Cydia. Doing so will save your time from running around the sites in search of the repos.
There are few ways through which you can backup your repo lists, but we will speak about it after the break. But what’s interesting about Source Saver is, it can automatically backup your repo list to keep it updated with your latest additions. All you need to do is, just install the Source Saver for free from Cydia and press a button to backup. From then on, whenever you sync your device with iTunes or iCloud, a zipped version of your source list will be automatically backed-up.
Now to restore the list back to your device from iTunes or iCloud, just install Source Saver from Cydia and press the restore button in the app. As i told earlier, Source Saver is free and can be downloaded from Cydia. The app supports almost all iOS devices that runs firmware from 5.0 to 6.1.
OK! As i promised in the second paragraph, if you wish to take a backup manually, then you’ll have to copy /etc/apt/sources.list.d.
