Use TileManager for Windows 8 to create bulk tiles on Start Screen

Now, it is very easy to create tiles on Windows 8 Start Screen. A tool named “TileManager” lets you to create tiles easily for your favorite websites or software on your Start Screen. TileManager will allow you to edit the shortcuts before placing them on the start screen and also lets you to change their icons. Interestingly, the tool doesn’t require any installation. You will have to just download and simply run it. TileManager comes with an easy to use interface that will let you to browse through the target executable files by clicking the “Find Files” button. The destination path will be added automatically and the list of all the programs will be populated in the lower part of the shortcuts tab.

You can just choose the applications from the list and click “Make Shortcuts” button to add the shortcuts to the Start Screen. You can choose to edit the names of the application before adding the shortcuts to the Start screen. Once the tiles are created, you can just drag and drop them to your desired location.

You can change the icons of the tiles using the Start Menu tab. Click “Start Menu” tab, select the application from the left side and choose the change icon button from the right. To change the icon, you need ICO image with 120×120 dimensions to make it look perfect. To add your favorite websites as tiles, just click the Internet link tab and start entering the details.
