The Sony Xperia C is the mid range device from Sony. It is like its Older brother- the Xperia Z. Now, there is no difference between the devices in terms of height and the looks. Both in fact look the same. Cosmetically though the devices may be identical, it is inside that makes the difference.
The first and main difference between the Xperia C and the Xperia Z is the display resolution. The Xperia C is at 540×960 and the Xperia Z is at 1080×1920. I.e. Xperia Z supports 1080p where as the Xperia C supports only up to 540p. Though that is good enough at a mid range price. Now the differences don’t end at that and the other most important thing is that the Xperia C is not water resistant. The Xperia Z is. The midrange device is an amazing device and comes in around three colors- Black, White, and Purple. The phone sits comfortably in the box and once you start to unbox, you will find that the phone is in fact larger than the pictures in which it was advertised. Rather there was no advertisement for the phone. Sony Silently released this smartphone. The phone comes with Android Jelly Bean (4.2) out of the box.
The Purple color is very stunning. The phone feels premium and features Sony’s Omni Balance design. The first startup is rather a difficult one. I was searching for the SIM slot a lot of times around the phone and I almost damaged the speaker at the back. The outer covering is rather plasticky for the speaker and it easily bends in. Referring the startup guide tells me that I have to remove the back cover from the bottom of the device. The bottom part of the cover has to be pushed down and the rest of the cover has to be pulled from side to side. On removing the back cover, you are revealed to a steel like slot which features the battery and is not removable. On top of the battery slot are the Dual SIM slots on to which microSIM cards go in. next to the SIM slot is the microSD card slot.
On inserting all your SIMs and microSD cards, you can press the power button which is rather short in comparison to the Z. It looks like it will easily fail. The volume rockers and the camera button are present below the power button. The left side of the device and bottom are bare. The left side of the device features the microUSB connection. The top of the device is where the 3.5mm jack sits. The phone doesn’t fail to impress and is very fast thanks to the Quad core 1.2 GHz processor. The camera is a 13MP camera which uses the EXMOR-R sensor to capture beautiful low light images. The device sure is amazing for this medium ranging price and be sure you head out to your brick and mortar store or an online store for grabbing your phone now.
