A Guide on How to Install CyanogenMod on Oppo N1

Oppo N1 is the first Google-certified CyanogenMod phone! And the CM10.2 on Oppo has passed Google’s  CTS (compatibility test suite), CDD (compatibility definition document) and CTS Verifier which means, from now on, Oppo N1 can run Google’e apps and Play Store and there is no need of sideloading.

How to install CyanogenMod

  • If you have flashed Custom Rom’s earlier you would definitely know what the first step could be? Backup Data!
  • Visit CyanogenMod’s website and find the firmware for N1 at the bottom of the page.
  • Connect Oppo N1 to your computer and copy the downloaded firmware file (.zip) to root folder.
  • Disconnect the device and power-off the phone
  • Power-up in recovery mode (by pressing power-up+volume down buttons)
Note : Keep the buttons pressed throughout the boot process.
  • In the next screen, you will get the language selection screen, choose your language and proceed to recovery.
  • Select, Install from SD and choose the file you copied.
  • Click on ‘Yes’ confirmation, ensuring you have backed up all data prior.
  • The installation should start
  • Once done, you will get a confirmation and you can choose to Reboot.

Now, on booting you will see that the process is changed and you will see a blue Android mascot icon. And, aftermath, you can enjoy all the cool new features!
