The Jailbreak community was lost in the festive mood of evasi0n7, but p0sixspwn has quietly shown up in Cydia to perform untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone Touch 4th generation devices running iOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.5. The p0sixspwn package lets you convert a tethered jailbreak into an untethered. So if you own a device that was jailbroken using redSnow or snowbreeze can now reboot the device without a tethered boot.

Here’s how you can untether iOS 6.1.3-6.1.5 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G

Step 1: Have a tethered Jailbreak using RedSnow or snowbreeze.

Step 2: Launch Cydia and install posixspwn

Step 3: posixspwn give an untethered Jailbreak.

What about Jailbreak for A5+ devices running older iOS 6 firmware

According the tweets from winocm and iH8snow, the team is working hard to bring the jailbreak to older iOS 6 devices as well.

There were plenty of drama involved in the Evasion7 release, but posixspwn says, this jailbreak is 100% drama-free.
