Disable Location Service for Passbook to save your iPhone battery

Well, another battery saving tip for your iDevice! Apple’s Passbook lets you to manage boarding passes, coupons, tickets and membership cards at one place. Passbook will make use of location service to determine your current location and alerts you if it finds any passes that can be used, but at a cost of your battery. Yes, the location service can drain your battery quickly. I know location service of Passbook is an useful service, but disabling it can save your phone’s battery.

Caution: Disabling the location service will stop Passbook from searching for locations where the passes are available. So you will not see passes on your lock screen anymore. But you can always enable it again to get the passes.

Here’s how you can do that,

Step 1: Access the Settings app.

Step 2: Tap Privacy option

Step 3: Tap Location Services

Step 4: Search for Passbook in the list and turn it Off.
