Let’s talk emojis – Emojimo makes chatting more fun and more precise!

Updated on September 1, 2017

Call me a ‘word fanatic’ or boring or plain stupid, but Emojis have never made any sense to me. I would rather sit down and have a face to face conversation with a person than use them. But then, I do use them as much you do because people do not understand words these days (and yes, they’re fun!)

Allan and Sam thought of adding more fun to the fun emoticons. They have designed an app named Emojimo which let’s people chat in Emojis. So, this is a good news for all you Emojis fan out there.

Once you install Emojimo on you iPhone (yes, this app is only for the iOS phone users), start typing. This is what your typed message would look like.

You type, the app does the work of converting it into Emojis. But just in case, you find it irritating, you can turn off the auto – Emoji setting and type in the good old manner and in the end, hit the giant poop button on your keypad to experience your words being transformed into Emojis.

But I cannot decode all the Emojis. Worry not, long press and see the mystery unravel.

And if you are the master of Emojis and come up with new emojis every time. Then you can add you very own personalized Emoji to the exhaustive list provided by the app..

And yes, it also uses the Emojis recreated from movies and songs. Meaning, contextual texting just became more fun.

A little about the developers- A finance and music graduate from Wharton, Allan just like any finance grad worked in a bank. He would learn coding in his free time and work as a banker during the day. After three years of doing the ordinary, he planned to do the extra-ordinary with his colleague Sam. A Cornell University’s Dyson program grad, Sam has a specialization in Environmental Economics and Strategy.

These two developers conceived the idea of Emojimo and gave birth to it right out of scratch. With its rising number of installers every day, Emojimo has become a hit in the world of contextual texting apps. Before Emojimi Allan and Sam’s name has been noted by WebMD H@ckthon  in March this year and they were also inducted into the Progression Labs, which is a feat in itself.

We are looking forward to much more fun apps of this nature and are hoping for a world where such start ups see the light of the day and make our lives a better place to live in.
