How to Install iOS 7 on iPhone 2G, 3G, iPod Touch 1G, 2G? – Whited00r7

  • Step 1: Backup your device first. This should be the first step before you Jailbreak or modify the base operating system.
  • Step 2: Download Redsn0w.
  • Step 3: If your device is carrier unlocked, then jump to Whitedoor site from your computer,
  • Step 4: Under appropriate device pull down menu, choose the desktop operating system and click Download button on the next page.

Install iOS 7 on Older iPhone

  • Step 4: The above step will take you to another page where, select ‘Normal’ firmware (IPSW).
  • Step 5: If you are willing to hack an iPhone during the Whitedoor installation process, then you should download ‘Unlocker’ version of IPSW file.
  • Step 6: After the successful download, place your device in Pwned DFU mode via redsn0w. You will find more options under ‘Extras’ tab of redsnow. Click and proceed with the on-screen instructions.
  • Step 7: You are ready to flash the IPSW file on your device using iTunes. To do that, hold on the Shift key, hit ‘Restore’ button and select IPSW file.
  • Step 8: Restart iPhone when the flash is successful.

Remember, Whitedoor will automatically Jailbreak your device, so you will see Cydia icon on your device’s home screen. Interestingly, the performance of your device will not be affected while running iOS 7’s new interface.
