  • Crawling out of bed with caffeine: This Might be too much for you to digest. But maybe you will not see your coffee cup tomorrow morning. Consuming Coffee or tea in empty stomach increases secretion of gastric acid leading to ulcers. Have your coffee after your breakfast as this is actually good for your health.

  • No gobbling: This is a common habit in today’s world where one cannot afford to waste time in enjoying his food. But taking time to eat is not simply for enjoying the taste, it makes you much healthier than before. Eating slowly helps in mixing the food with your saliva which will enhance your oral health. This will also help good digestion. So next time enjoy, rather than simply stuffing your food.
  • Skipping breakfast: Breakfast has become a luxury and only weekends can afford them. But do remember it is the first meal of the day after a nice long sleep. Do not skip them as this will lead to prolonged fatigue and lack of alertness throughout the day. I know how much we love to sleep, but probably not the whole day.
  • The unbalanced diet: Some people have clear aversion to fruits and vegetables. They move around with a list that specifies vegetables that they don’t like. But our body takes food as its fuel. Different components of the food we consume are necessary for different functions in our body. Eliminating the fruits and vegetable will cause lack of nutrition in your body. So try having a bowl of any fruit everyday and also include as many vegetables as possible in your meal every day.

  • Salt and sugar love: Most of us can’t imagine having a meal without salt. While some of us expect a fair quantity, many of us have the habit of adding excess salt and sugar. Salt is a rich source of sodium which will increase your blood pressure leading to hypertension. Also excessive sugar in your diet will only lead to weight gain. So cut down excess salt and sweet from your habit hereafter.

  • Low Water consumption: During summers irrespective of our habits we tend to consume lot of water. But it is important that we continue this habit throughout the year. Water is the best among natural cleansing agents and hence it is very important we have enough every day. Your body gets adapted to a certain level of water consumption. So do not reduce the level even during winters as this will cause imbalance in your body.
