The recent release of Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 has been creating lot of excitement and that led us to write about few apps that was developed by XDA genius out there. That includes, porting of Galaxy Camera’s camera app on Google Edition Galaxy S4 and the guide to install Android 4.3 ROM on Galaxy S4. With the excitement keeping growing, today we learnt from XDA Developer Chainfire that the Android 4.3 running on Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 has been rooted successfully. According to the developer, the SuperSU has been modified to adapt Android 4.3.
Well, here’s what the developer said on his Google+ Post,
For this root, SuperSU is running in daemon mode (new feature), and launched during boot.
The daemon handles all su requests, and while this should mostly work just fine, some apps may expect their su session to be running on the same branch on the process tree as the app that launched the session.
We are yet to be sure whether this root will work on all devices that run Android 4.3 (as not many are there in the market now). But if you had owned Google Edition Galaxy S4, then checkout the developer’s Google+ post and SuperSU thread for flashable zip file.
