SkipLock, a Cydia app to disable Lockscreen on iPhone or iPad like Nexus 7

Updated on September 1, 2017

Well! the tweak is not for everyone, but to those who feel Lock screen is an unnecessary obstacle to access the device and wants to bypass it. A new Cydia tweak called “SkipLock” allows you to bypass the Lockscreen and lets you to access the device by hitting the Home button. The tweak can be handy if you are the only user of your device and when it is always with you. This feature is something that is available in Nexus 7, which lets the users to disable the Lockscreen. I wonder, why didn’t Apple implement this on its OS. Anyways if you had jailbroken your device, then it doesn’t matter whether Apple implements it or some genius out there in cydia implements it.

SkipLock will bypass the Lockscreen when your device is not passcode protected. If you have enabled passcode, then you will not find the unlock slider, but still you need to enter the passcode to access the device. It seems the tweak was developed for certain personality with the functionality to bypass the lockscreen and to ensure the lockscreen is not bypassed when there are pending notifications. SkipLock was developed by Flippo (http://filippobiga.com/repo) for free and it works on iOS 6+ devices.

Caution: Use the tweak only if you really need it. Else your device can be accessed by anyone.
