Samsung made its impact when it announced the Note series. The term phablet was coined especially for the Note series. The Note 1 featured a huge 5.3″ screen that came with 265ppi. The thing that made the Note famous was its S-Pen or the stylus as it was called. The S-Pen had different upgrades over the years. The Note stands at a version of 3 and has several improvements over the previous two generations.
The Note 3 includes a Faux leather case that improves over the glossy plastic cover of the Note 1 and Note 2. The plastic cover remains the same and it is the addition of the Faux leather stitching over the plastic cover that makes a difference. Fingerprints don’t stick. The changes are also inside the Hood. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 builds over the Note 2 and has a Quad core processor and is clocked at 2.3GHz. The RAM is increased from 2GB to 3GB. That sure is to be overkill. It has a 13MP camera compared to the 8MP of the Note 2.It comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box and should be upgrade-able to KitKat.
The front side of the device is featuring the large screen. The galaxy Note 3 has a 5.7″ screen with 386ppi. The pixel resolution stands at 1920×1080. It is meaning to say that the display is Full HD. The volume rocker is present in the left hand side of the device and the power button is present in the right hand side of the device. The lower portion has the micro-USB connector. The version is not the standard and goes from 2.0 to 3.0. There is a little extra connector to the standard 2.0 connector. The 3.0 connector sort of looks ugly in comparison to its 2.0 brother. The top of the device features the 3.5mm jack to its right.
The S-Pen has pressurized sensor which doesn’t need pressing too much at all, a light touch would do the job. The other features were incorporated from the Galaxy S4. The Reading mode, Auto scroll, Motion pause were all adopted from the S4 and improved upon. They still need a lot of improvement and then only will they be able to react quickly and accurately. The Galaxy Gear goes well with the Galaxy Note 3 and both are sure to complement each other. Here are some pics of the device.
