Sometimes you might want your tweet to be deleted after a period of time. For instance, if you have tweeted about a product that offers discount for the christmas that will expire in a day. After a day, the tweet will still appear on your timeline and will seen by your followers. Do you wish to remove that particular tweet automatically after a period of time? Here’s a simple solution that allows to set expiry time for your tweets. The service named “Spirit” developed by Pierre Legrain, who was previously ex-product marketing manager at Twitter. Spirit allows you to set an expiration time for your tweets using simple hashtags to expire or delete automatically . For instance, #6m tag will expire the tweet after 6 minutes, #8h will expire the tweet after 8 hours and #2d will delete the tweet after 2 days.
To use Spirit, just head on to twitterspirit.com and login with your twitter account. You will have to provide read, write access to the app. Once done, the app will run at the background monitoring all of your expiry enabled tweets and automatically deletes it after the specified time.
