Android L: The Latest exclusively for Developers!

Updated on September 1, 2017

Android OS is widespread and has taken many devices up its sleeves and features a wide range of integration and specialization capabilities. Though the offering may be wide, it was not meant for developers. In the sense, a new version would be released in the Google I/O event held each year. The event expected to stage new features in a Keynote Presentations, the name of the version to be announced etc… Not anymore!! Google is tending to go like other companies and is strictly following the saying In Rome, do as the Romans do”.

The latest version of Android doesn’t have any name to it and it would make the developers interested in the OS. The version expected to have the name starting with the letter “L” (as the previous versions were Jelly Bean, KitKat and the next version might have the name started with L – may be Lettuce Salad or Lime Key pie). The OS looks very much flat, in accordance with the Latest trend.

The design elements and the APIs should be rather new. Regarding the three navigation buttons, I am not so sure because, if the design is final, then Sony might have a chance at Suing Google because the design is expected to be the copy of PlayStation Controller button

PS: Rotate the above picture 90 degrees clockwise and you’ll know what I mean.

The alphabetical listing of the apps or the contacts gives a design like the Z launcher, a launcher by Nokia for Android. According to Google, Android L will have many features, improved performance and better battery saving. The color scheme of the Notification bar is retained as in the previous version. The numbering sense is also not known.
