We had rumours saying Facebook is going to buy Whatsapp! But now, Facebook has unveiled a Messenger app with which you can log on with a name and phone number, rather than having to enter your account info.
Currently this update is for Android and will be rolled out soon for iOS. With this app – you can text your friends, share photos, get push notification for every new message that you get. You can also send messages to friends who are not logged into this app currently, they will get notifications whenver they open up their Facebook account.
