In the past we have seen few tweaks that reads out banner notifications for you. For instance, VSNotifications speaks-out banner notifications aloud and an app called “WakeInfo” that reads out temperature and messages after you snooze the alarm. Today we are going to speak about “Secretary”, a cydia application that will read your notifications aloud when the device is connected to speaker or headset via Bluetooth. Once the app is installed, you can configure it to tell you missed calls count, text messages, unread messages count, and calendar events. These options can be configured using the Settings panel; where you can also adjust the volume level and calendar event window. The app lets you to choose which device accessories it should use in order to readout the notifications.
Secretary can readout both the iMessages and SMS. The app will also support global languages as shown below. You can grab the one from BigBoss repo on Cydia for $1.99. Secretary works on jailbroken devices that runs iOS 6 or higher.
