Step by Step guide to Jailbreak iOS7 using Evasion7 on Windows

As you all know, Evad3rs announced new Jailbreak utility for iOS 7 devices and there were plenty of speculations about the inclusion of Taig Chinese App Store. If you are someone waiting for this Jailbreak, then here’s a tutorial that works for iOS 7.0.1, iOS 7.0.2, iOS 7.0.3 and iOS 7.0.4.

Note: It should be noted that the Jailbreak is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and iPad Mini devices that runs iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4. So the process will not work on Apple TV or any other device that runs iOS 6.x. Moreover, be sure to take a backup of your device using iCloud or iTunes and in case, if you have updated via OTA, then take a backup in iTunes and perform a full restore before applying evasion7.

Evasion Jailbreak for iOS 7 Devices

Step 1: Head on to the Evasion page and download it.

Step 2: Unzip the package and open evasion folder.

Step 3: Inside the evasion folder, you will find evasion.exe file. Right click on it and choose “Run as administrator“. You may have to grant access, if User Access Control dialog appears.

Step 4: If you have set passcode for your device. Disable it. To do that, jump to Settings > General > Passcode Lock > Turn Passcode Off

Step 5: Connect the device to your computer.

Step 6: The evasion utility should detect the device automatically. Once the device is detected, the tool will enable “Jailbreak” button.

Step 7: Click on Jailbreak button and enjoy the process. In between, you will be asked to tap evasion7 icon on your device’s Home screen to complete the process.

Step 8: Once the Jailbreak is done, you can find the Cydia icon on your Home screen’s 2nd page.

The process would take around 5-10 minutes to complete and the device will reboot few times.

Jailbreak process stuck?

In case, if the process stuck in between, you may have to restart the tool, reboot the device and start the process from first.
