Minion Rush Review for Android – Go grab those bananas!

Updated on September 1, 2017

Minion Rush is the game produced based on the movie series Despicable Me created by Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures. There are two movies in the series- Despicable Me which was released in 2010 and Despicable Me 2 which is a sequel to the previous movie and was released in 2013. The First movie follows Gru’s Adventure and his battle against Vector, his enemy. The second movie follows the story of Gru’s Minions. This game is based on the second version of the movie and it is a race to be the minion of the year. This is a never ending running game like Subway surfers and temple run. The control is more like Subway surfers.

Graphics

The Graphics of the game is absolutely stunning and is exceptional. Subway surfers is also based on the same concept of running but the graphics of that game is a little childish. And rather runs after the American Dream of happiness. But this is rather different. You have to collect bananas and not coins and going after food is more logical than going after money.

Gameplay

There are five levels in the game with one added in a recent update. As I did not update my version, I don’t know about the latest location. You can access the different locations in the locations menu of the game or by playing the game. The different locations are Gru’s Lab, Halloween Residential, El Macho’s Lair, Minion Beach, and the Mall (comes with the latest update). There are different costumes as well. You get Usual outfit, Referee Outfit (which I very much like), Mom outfit, Baby outfit, Dad outfit, Firefighter outfit, Singer outfit, Worker outfit, Ninja outfit and Bee-do outfit. Dad outfit is the costliest and should be equipped with tokens and the referee outfit is the cheapest which you can get by Bananas. You start of with Gru’s Lab and you can access different locations by increasing your multiplier score. Once you get out in a particular level, you start in the same level and can go run in the different levels if you get a transportation sign. Occasionally there will be enemies present coming at you with small and large bots out of which the small bots can be directed towards them to get despicable points. The large ones are to be avoided. The different villains are:

  • Vector in Gru’s Lab
  • El Macho in El Macho’s Lair
  • Meena in Halloween Residential

There are no villains in Minion Beach. Download the game and Enjoy. Cheers.
