Motorola G 2nd Gen : Bigger and Better

Updated on September 1, 2017

Motorola is a company which is widely known for its creative mobile phones featuring stuff that we awe for. It was also the company which gave Motorola Droid which was first phone to feature Android 2.1 Éclair. Motorola continued to innovate until it began to run in losses and ended up being bought by Google, and now acquired by Lenovo.

Motorola has three lines of product namely the Moto X, the Moto G and the Moto E. There are in total 6 models namely the Nexus 6, Moto X first and second Gen, the Moto G first and Second gen and the Moto E. We will be concentrating more on Moto G (the mid-range droid).

Why should you buy?

The phone can be used for pretty much anything. Be it just surfing the web, browsing documents or media. Media files are played really well and the feeling, clarity and depth of the content is amazing. Motorola has done quite a wonderful job on this phone. As the Operating system is Android, lots of third party software can be downloaded from the Play Store which will enrich the User Experience. For browsing documents, Microsoft Office can be downloaded which is available free of cost (unbelievable actually!!). Now with the acquisition of the email client Acompli, Microsoft is looking to enhance its Office products (Cool!).

Do I have to know something else before I buy the device?

If you are in India like me, Moto G is available exclusively in Flipkart. And if you are a guy/girl who is fond of Online shopping and looking for an amazing phone with a budget range, then I totally recommend that you move ahead with this. If you are not satisfied with the product that you receive, you can go for a return (within 30 days) with all the necessary package (that was given at the day of delivery). The phone comes with Kitkat which will be upgrade-able to Lollipop once proper optimizations come up.

Android Lollipop? Why should I wait?

Lollipop brings with it enhanced features and optimization that enhance performance. Android L comes with the new Material Design which is to change the thinking of how Android looked so boring. But don’t be disheartened, there are not only visual changes done, but also under the Hood which are done which will make your droid oily smooth and you wont notice any lags (No more of the sarcasm and trolls, I Suppose).
