Updated on September 1, 2017

Once the Finnish based mobile maker – Nokia was a giant in the mobile industry, but not anymore, according to the survey conducted by the research firm Gartner. What could be reason for Nokia’s slip? The company has been criticized for sticking on to Symbian operating system for all of its model- Yes! once Symbian ruled the market. Fortunately Nokia dared to break the Symbian walls and came up with a Nokia’s first Windows phone, Lumia. The firm tried everything to keep its name in the industry, but sadly the company’s market seems slipping away, as its competitors like Samsung joined hands with Google Android and rocked the mobile world (it’s still going strongly). So? What’s the way out for Nokia? Yes, the Android mobile. Today the most internet sites are talking about this news – Is Nokia planning for an Android mobile? Probably yes! At least there is a hint for such initiative based on Nokia’s recent job advertisement posted on Linked-In seeking a Linux expert to work in a “start-up environment”. The advertisement contained phrases like “exciting new products” and “mobile phone technology”.

According to the reports from Techradar, Nokia seems to have changed the job title as “Principal Software Engineer, Embedded Linux Middleware” on Friday. Since Linux is the underlying structure of Android, the speculations are “Nokia might plan to work on Android device”.  If Nokia plans for an Android mobile, then what would be Microsoft’s reaction?
