The Pocket TV will convert your TV into an Android Tablet

A new Kickstarter project aims to convert your regular TV into a Smart Android Tablet. The “Pocket TV” project with 2480 backers in Kickstarter is a small pocket sized dongle that connects to the HDMI Port of any regular TV and converts that into a Smart TV. The Pocket TV is a mini computer that runs Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich and powers your TV to perform all the functionality of a Tablet. It means, you can play games, download and run apps, stream videos, connect and share with your friends on Facebook, Twitter and surf the web. Simply attach a web cam to do Skype video-calls.

The Project includes a standard IR remote control that uses infrared signals just like your TV, which will provide with an ability to control the Pocket TV using several buttons.  The Pocket TV features a powerful A9 processor that runs Android 4.0. The HDMI port of the TV is used for display and can display up to 1080p resolution. The device will have an USB port for you to attach an external hard disk, wireless keyboard or mouse. The product was created by Dubai based company Infinitec is now in the crowd-fundraising site Kickstarter for its development.
