Updated on September 1, 2017

Few weeks ago, Google announced Android 4.3 for AOSP and Nexus devices; the update was available for all versions of Nexus devices including Nexus 4, 7, 10 and Galaxy Nexus. At Techglimpse, we also learned how to install Android 4.3 on your Nexus devices and how to gain root access to it. Today we are going to see how to root your Nexus devices running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The process involves in unlocking the bootloader to flash custom recovery and then with the help of custom recovery flash the SuperSU package. The SuperSU package should be well compatible with the operating system on your device. For this guide, we will be using SuperSU 1.50 package by Chainfire that should work very well on Android 4.3.

Step 5: Reboot your device into Android by tapping ‘reboot system now’ from the ClockWorkMod screen or ‘Reboot’ and tap ‘System’ in TWRP.
